Requirements, Documents, and Tests — one self-hosted suite

Traceability, documents, and test execution — all in one suite.

TraceBoard Suite combines requirements traceability (TraceBoard), document generation from baselines (TraceDocs), and test execution with coverage reporting (TraceTest) — without per‑user pricing or cloud lock‑in.

Built for engineering teams in medical devices, industrial automation, defense, aerospace, embedded software, and regulated product development.

Who uses TraceBoard Suite?

Companies moving away from Excel

Requirements, tasks and test evidence are becoming too difficult to maintain manually.

Teams that find Jira too complex

Need requirements traceability without plugins, workflows and administration overhead.

Organizations facing audits

Need clear evidence that every requirement was implemented and verified.

TraceDocs and TraceTest serve the same audience — part of the same suite, available in every plan.

01 — How it works

Plan, Document, Prove.

Three products that share the same data, users, and authentication — deploy once, use all three.

Step 1 — Plan the work

TraceBoard

Create requirements, tasks, bugs, and tests. Link them together. Track progress on Kanban boards and create immutable baselines for compliance.

TraceBoard – requirements and traceability

Step 2 — Document the work

TraceDocs

Create baselines, then generate SRS and Test Plan PDFs from your traceability data. Write and organize knowledge base articles with a Markdown editor and folders.

TraceDocs – document generation and Markdown editor

Step 3 — Prove the work

TraceTest

Execute test runs, record results (Pass/Fail/Blocked), and view coverage reports. Every result linked back to its requirement — full audit trail.

TraceTest – test runs and coverage reporting

02 — Capabilities

Three products, one suite.

TraceBoard, TraceDocs, and TraceTest — built to work together from day one.

TraceBoard — Plan the work

Requirements, tasks, bugs, and tests linked in one workspace. Kanban boards, baselines, compliance exports, and full traceability — always up to date.

TraceDocs — Document the work

Generate SRS and Test Plan PDFs from baselines. Markdown editor with live preview, folders, and a knowledge base linked to your traceability data.

TraceTest — Prove the work

Create and execute test runs, record results (Pass/Fail/Blocked), and get coverage reports. Link test results back to requirements — full traceability from spec to evidence.

03 — Why TraceBoard Suite

Built where Excel, Jira, and Confluence fall short.

Smart engineering SMBs switch to TraceBoard Suite for traceability that passes audits, documents that write themselves, and test runs linked to requirements — on their own server, in minutes.

TraceBoard Suite is designed for teams that need audit-ready traceability but cannot justify the cost and complexity of enterprise ALM platforms such as DOORS, Jama, Polarion or Codebeamer.

Replaces Excel & Jira

TraceBoard provides structured requirements, tasks, tests, trace links, Kanban boards, and baselines — no plugins, no admin overhead.

Replaces Confluence

TraceDocs generates SRS and Test Plan PDFs from baselines. Markdown editor with folders and a knowledge base — linked to your requirements.

Replaces Manual Test Spreadsheets

TraceTest runs test executions, records results (Pass/Fail/Blocked), and shows coverage reports — fully traceable to requirements.

One Docker stack. One flat price.

04 — Deployment

Runs where you want it.

Today TraceBoard Suite is available as self-hosted software. A managed cloud option is planned for teams that prefer zero infrastructure management.

Self-hosted (available now)

One Docker Compose stack with its own databases. Install it on your own server and your data never leaves your infrastructure. Air-gapped deployments supported.

Managed cloud (planned)

A hosted TraceBoard Suite instance for teams that prefer zero maintenance. We handle updates, backups and infrastructure.

05 — Pricing

Simple pricing for software that stays simple.

All plans include the core TraceBoard Suite capabilities — tasks, bugs, requirements, traceability, tests, document generation (TraceDocs), test execution (TraceTest), and Excel import/export. Advanced controls such as SSO (OIDC) are available in higher tiers. Choose how you want to run it.

Runs as a single Docker Compose stack with its own databases. Deploy it on your own server in minutes — your data stays on your infrastructure.

Questions

What happens if I stop renewing my self-hosted license?

The software keeps running with the features you already have. You stop receiving updates and support until you renew.

What is the difference between TraceBoard, TraceDocs, and TraceTest?

TraceBoard is the core traceability engine – manage requirements, tasks, bugs, tests, and trace links. TraceDocs generates compliance documents (SRS, Test Plans) from baselines and provides a Markdown knowledge base. TraceTest tracks test execution, records results, and shows coverage reports. All three share the same data, users, and authentication.

Can I move from Managed Cloud to self-hosted later?

Yes. Export your data and import it into your own instance. Same format either way, so there's no lock-in.

Is there a trial?

Yes — 30 days with the full current feature set

Do annual plans cost less than monthly?

Yes. Paying yearly on Managed Cloud costs the same as 10 months instead of 12. Self-hosted licenses are billed yearly.

Does TraceBoard Suite support air‑gapped deployments?

Yes. The self-hosted Docker Compose stack includes its own databases and runs fully offline. No external calls are made — your data stays entirely within your network.

What makes TraceBoard Suite different from Jira?

TraceBoard Suite is built specifically for traceability between requirements, tasks and tests — with one‑click baselines and compliance exports. It includes document generation (TraceDocs) and test execution (TraceTest) in the same platform. It's a single Docker Compose stack you own, not a cloud platform you subscribe to. All core traceability features are included in every plan.
